Beloved Irma Melendez, born on the 21st day of April in the year of our Lord 1938, in the vibrant city of Matamores, Mexico, was called home to glory on August 20, 2023, in the peaceful town of Lakeland, Florida. Irma's life was a testament to the power of faith, kindness, and love. She was a beacon of light that shone brightly, touching the lives of everyone she encountered.
Irma was the cherished daughter of the late Agustin Alvear and Ester Serna. She was the devoted wife of the late Adrian Melendez, and their love story was a testament to the power of faith and commitment. Their union was blessed with a large and loving family. Irma was the proud mother of Adriana Moreno, Jose Nicanor Melendez, Hermelinda Benavides, Agustin Melendez, Ismael Melendez, Guillermo Melendez, Rafael Melendez, Esequiel Melendez, Eva Melendez, and Adan Melendez, Jesus Melendez, Fifty- one grandchildren, sixty-eight great grandchildren, and seven great- great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Jesus Melendez, who preceded her in glory. Irma was the loving sister of Maria Elena Robles and Maria Robles, and Juan Robles. She was also the sister of the late Roberto Robles, Fabian Robles, Ruben Robles, and Tomasa Robles.
Irma was a woman who embodied the virtues of love, kindness, and faith. She was a woman who loved deeply, and she was deeply loved in return. The family will receive friends Thursday August 24,2023 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Iglesia De Dios La Nueva Cosecha 3708 Medulla Road Plant City, Fl. 33566.
A Funeral service will be held Friday August 25, 2023 at 10:00am at Iglesia De Dios La Nueva Cosecha, with a burial at Mount Enon cemetery to follow.
