Howard Phillip Brown

Howard P. Brown, 93 of Boone, Iowa, passed away, on November 7, 2024 at his home in Plant City, surrounded by his family.

Howard was born on July 27, 1931, in Hartington, Nebraska. His family moved to Boone, Iowa shortly after his birth. He graduated from Boone High School in 1950. He married Ruth Pieken on November 22, 1951. He worked for Western Electric and then Northwestern Bell for 40 years. After retiring he enjoyed working in his beautiful yard, traveling, especially to Florida to visit his grandchildren, and volunteering for many positions in his church.

He is survived by his daughter, Vickie Ricketts, sons, Jeffrey Brown (Virginia), Douglas Brown, grandchildren, Monica Taylor, Christopher Ricketts, Jeremy Ricketts, Heidi Kessell, Jacob Brown, Michael Brown, great grandchild, Haley Kessell.

Preceding him in death were his wife Ruth, parents, Roland and Hazel Jons and son Duane R. Brown.

Services will be held privately by the family.
