Helen Sue Johnson Obituary

Helen Sue Johnson, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at her home in Plant City, Florida, surrounded by the warmth of her family's love. Born on May 18, 1951, in the charming town of Wetumpka, Alabama, Helen's journey through life was marked by her thoughtful nature and the joy she brought to those around her.

Helen was the cherished daughter of the late Bessie Ptak and William Joseph Blankenship Sr. She grew up in a lively household with her siblings Bill Blankenship, Flora Gathof, Kathy Riddle, and the late Pat Wadsworth, where the seeds of her loving character were sown. Her life was enriched by the companionship of her devoted husband, Ronald Johnson, with whom she shared countless treasured moments.

Though she faced the heartbreak of losing her son Jeremy Johnson, Helen's resilient spirit shone through as she continued to nurture her family with boundless love. She was a guiding light to her stepdaughter Tammy Frankham, her son John Jason Johnson, and her grandchildren, Austin Phillips, Aiden Johnson, Lathan Tillman-Johnson, and Lance Frankham III, and Hayley.

Helen's love for life was evident in her passions. She was an avid player of Farmville, finding joy in the simple pleasures of virtual farming. Her dachshund, Boomer, was a constant companion and source of happiness, embodying the warm and caring home she created.

Above all, Helen cherished her role as a grandmother. The laughter and smiles of her grandchildren were the music of her life, and she devoted herself to making memories that would last a lifetime. Whether it was a quiet afternoon spent together or a celebration of life's milestones, Helen was the heart of her family's gatherings.

Her wisdom was a guiding star to many, offering advice that was both insightful and heartfelt. Helen's thoughtful nature made her a confidante and friend to all who knew her, a person to whom many turned in times of need for comfort and support.

As we remember Helen Sue Johnson, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace. She was the embodiment of love, a woman who taught us the value of kindness and the strength of family bonds. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Helen's life story is a tapestry woven with threads of love, wisdom, and thoughtfulness—a legacy that will be cherished and carried forward by those who loved her. She has left us with hearts full of gratitude for the time we shared and lessons learned from a life well-lived. Rest in peace, dear Helen, until we meet again.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to help cover final expenses.
