Gary L Needham

Gary L. Needham (74) passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023 with his wife Marlyn Needham by his side.
Gary was born on January 27th, 1949 to Hershel L. Needham and Virginia B. Murphy in Neosho, Missouri. He attended grade school on Northview, Missouri in a one room schoolhouse and then attended school through his sophomore year in Goodman, Missouri. In his youth he participated in sports in school. The family then moved to Palace, Missouri where he finished and graduated from Plato High School in 1967.
On completion of High School, Gary then enlisted in the United States Air Force, and dedicated himself to our country serving 20 years, where he became a Master Sergeant working in Communications, after retiring from the Military, he went on to become a Cellular Engineer for AT&T where he had a successful 30 year span career, until finally retiring in 2015 in Plant City, Florida.
Gary was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Gary spent his golden years with his devoted wife by his side enjoying the simple things in life. Home was his sanctuary and often times you'd find him getting lost in a novel, enjoying a good action movie, napping to a Nascar race or researching a new cooking recipe to try. Although a private and quiet person, his family knew he had a very big heart. With his passing, we know that he is finally free from pain, with his family and is now at peace. We love you and until we meet again, rest easy. Gary was so proud of his family.
Gary was predeceased by his father; Hershel L. Needham, Mother; Virgina Belle Murphy, and sisters; Judith k. Jones and Linda S. Needham.
He is survived by his wife; Marlyn Needham, sister; Pamela L. Welch, his four children; Chad Needham, Angela Carroll, Jedediah Stolle, and Ashley Ayan and last but not least his seven grandchildren; Ava Ercell, Micah Carroll, Judah Carroll, Isaiah Carroll, Evelyn Stolle, Atticus Stolle and Eliza Stolle.
Services will be held privately by the family.
