Fiffy Blankenship Obituary

Fiffy Jean Blankenship, affectionately known to all as Fiffy, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on November 1, 1937, in the quaint town of Headland Alabama, Fiffy was a beacon of joy and generosity throughout her life. Her final days were spent surrounded by the love and warmth of her family.

Predeceased by her parents , Toby and Wistee Brannon Blankenship, her sisters Helen Virginia Vukmanic, and Peggy Ann Clark, as well as brother-in-laws, Bobby Hutchison and Michael Vukmanic, Fiffy's memory is cherished by her surviving sister Dot Hutchison, brother-in-law, Horace M. Clark, and her adoring nieces and nephews: Vicki Schaub, Missy Mason, Tina Evans, Keith Clark, Ann Brees, Diana Tincher, and Steve Vukmanic. Her legacy also lives on through the many great-nieces and great-nephews who had the privilege of knowing her loving spirit.

Fiffy's life was one of active engagement and heartfelt passions. She was a devoted member of the East Thonotosassa Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship enriched not only her life but also those around her. Her interests were as colorful as her personality; she found joy in coloring, a pastime that reflected her vibrant view of the world. Television provided a window into stories and adventures that captivated her imagination.

A social butterfly, Fiffy loved to visit with friends, sharing laughter and creating memories that would last a lifetime. An avid fisher, she cherished the serenity of the outdoors and the thrill of the catch. Her family was her treasure, and she held each moment with them close to her heart. Fiffy's voice was one of song, and she could often be heard singing, a testament to her belief that life itself was a melody to be celebrated.

One of Fiffy's most endearing companions was her stuffed animal, Bubba, which was a source of comfort and joy through her final days. She lived by the mantra that "some days call for extra sparkle," a philosophy that she embodied through her loving and generous nature.

To know Fiffy was to know a spirit that was unyielding in its warmth. She was the embodiment of love, always ready to give of herself and to lift others up. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her spirited demeanor was contagious, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Fiffy Jean Blankenship's life was a tapestry woven with love, kindness, and a zest for life that will be deeply missed but never forgotten. As we say farewell to this remarkable woman, we take solace in the countless memories and the enduring love she shared with each of us. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the stars continue to shine long after they have set on the horizon.
