Fae Knight passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, in her hometown of Plant City, Florida. Born on October 23, 1950, Fae was a lifelong resident of Plant City, where she cultivated a life rich in love, friendship, and service.
Fae was predeceased by her loving parents, Floyd Boone and Dorothy Cothron, and her brother, Floyd M. Boone. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her devoted husband of 53 years, Phillip "PK" Knight. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their children Kim (Kevin) Willging, Sondra (Dominic) Casario, Rhonda Knight, and their honorary daughter Angela (Steve) Andrews. Fae's legacy continues through her siblings Elsie (Joe) Mize, Carol (John) Graham, Dennis Boone, and Susie (Ken) Yarbrough, as well as her many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Her commitment to her community was evident through her active involvement in the Shiloh Baptist Church, where she formed many lasting friendships and contributed to numerous church activities.
Fae fiercely loved her family as well as her friends (who she considered family). Her faith and love of God was a priority in her life and she readily shared her faith with others. One would often hear her say, "God is good." During her long battle with cancer, she never once complained, and made it clear that she did not want anyone worrying about her, as she knew she would be in heaven one day.
She was a competitive card player, and she loved to win, which she often did. She was always up for a card game and her humor, during those games, will be greatly missed. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she loved putting up her Christmas tree early to enjoy it as long as she could. She never missed a sunset when, at her favorite place - the beach. Her laughter, her strength and love will be missed but all that knew her know that we will carry her with us forever.
We take solace in knowing that Fae's journey was full of purpose and love, and while we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the remarkable woman she was. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will be a comforting and lasting tribute to a life well-lived.
Donations can be made in Fae's name to Shiloh Baptist or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital
