Everline Kidd Obituary

Everline Kidd, age 85, of Plant City, Florida, passed away on June 16, 2026. She was born on April 14, 1941, in Chiefland, Florida, and lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, and a warm spirit that touched everyone who knew her.

Everline was the beloved wife of Johnny Ray Kidd, whom she married on March 20, 1958. Their marriage was a lasting bond built on love, companionship, and shared years of life together. Johnny preceded her in death in August of 2025, and Everline carried his memory with her in the quiet and faithful way she lived each day. She was also a devoted mother to her daughter, Marlene Walker, and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to her family.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ailene and Pauline, both of whom held a special place in her heart throughout her life. Everline leaves behind her daughter, Marlene Walker and George, her grandchildren, George J. Walker and Joan, and Heather Walker, as well as her great-grandchild, Lilliana Walker. Her family was one of the greatest joys of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She was affectionately called "granny" by many, even by those who were not related to her by blood, a reflection of the kindness, warmth, and welcoming nature she extended to everyone around her.

Everline loved church and was a faithful attendee of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Brandon, Florida. Her church family was an important part of her life, and she especially enjoyed the senior functions there. She looked forward to those gatherings and was known for always picking up her best friend on the way, a simple but meaningful act that spoke to her generosity and loyalty. Her faith was steady and sincere, and it guided the way she cared for others and carried herself through life.

She also found joy in the everyday pleasures of home and community. Everline loved gardening and yard work, and she took pride in keeping things beautiful and well cared for. She had a special fondness for going out to eat and was lovingly known as "The Buffet Queen." Golden Corral and Fred's were among her favorite places, and she enjoyed them with the same enthusiasm and appreciation she brought to so many parts of life. Whether tending to her yard, spending time with loved ones, or enjoying a favorite meal, she embraced life with a cheerful heart and a practical, loving spirit.

Those who knew Everline will remember her as a woman of faith, strength, and warmth. She had a way of making people feel welcome and cared for, and her presence brought comfort and familiarity to many. Her life was a blessing to her family, her church, and her community, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Everline Kidd will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her devotion to family, her steadfast faith, and the many small but meaningful ways she made life brighter for those around her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and grace will remain a lasting source of comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 818 North Parsons Avenue, Brandon, Florida 33510.
