Ernest Wayne Yates, age 76, of Plant City, FL passed away on August 12, 2019.
A native of Tyronza, Arkansas, he was the son of the late James and Lucille Yates.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Yates, children, Teresa (Matt) Craig, Ronnie (Cynthia) Yates, Charles (Suzanne) Yates, brother, Howard Yates, twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Ernest was of Baptist and Pentecostal faiths. He was a farmer and owned a plant nursery. He loved fishing.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 16, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W Dr MLK Jr Blvd, Plant City, FL 33563. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM
