Rev. Emmett Bernard Hall, known affectionately as Emmett to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024, in Brandon, Florida. Born on September 16, 1958, in Plant City, Florida, Emmett's life was one marked by faith, love, and a warm spirit that touched all who knew him.
Emmett was a proud graduate of Plant City High School, class of 1976. His academic and athletic prowess earned him a football scholarship to Alabama State University in Montgomery, where he furthered his education. His passion for sports, particularly football, remained a constant throughout his life, and he was an ardent supporter of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After completing his education, Emmett channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into the ownership and operation of a jewelry store, sharing his keen eye for detail and beauty with his community. He later joined the Cannon Automotive Group in Lakeland as a salesman, where his friendly demeanor and genuine care for others made him a favorite among customers and colleagues alike.
Emmett's dedication to his faith was evident in his involvement with New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Parrish, Florida. His faith-filled life was an inspiration to many, and his loving nature made him a pillar in both his church and community.
Predeceased by his parents, Emmett Hall and Hattie Mae Williams, and his brother, Terry Hall Sr., Emmett's legacy of love and kindness lives on through his family. He is survived by his children, Carita Hall, Aprell Knight Jackson, Emmett "Trey" Hall, and Tiffany Hall. His sister, Sharon Moody, along with his 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, will cherish his memory and continue to be guided by the principles he embodied.
Emmett was a man whose life was characterized by the words loving, faith-filled, and friendly. He had the rare ability to make each person he met feel valued and important, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy to those around him.
As we say farewell to Rev. Emmett Bernard Hall, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by compassion, service, and an unwavering commitment to his loved ones. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the memories we hold dear.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Emmett's family and friends will gather to honor his memory and celebrate the impact he made on so many lives. He will be deeply missed, but the love he shared will forever be a beacon of hope and kindness in the lives he touched.
In the quiet moments, we will find solace in the lessons he taught us: to love unconditionally, to live with purpose, and to embrace our faith with open hearts. Emmett's journey on earth may have ended, but his story continues through the lives of those he loved and the countless lives he influenced.
Rest in peace, Rev. Emmett Bernard Hall. Your legacy of love and friendship will never be forgotten.
