Edward Earl Truett

Ed was a loving husband and father who always made time for his family. He was loving, polite, caring, thoughtful, and sweetly devoted to his wife Diane. He was always there for his sons 24/7 and was a genuine helping and supporting hand to them both. His hobbies were sports and music. He attended Hillsborough High School in Tampa FL, and Troy State University in Troy, AL on a football scholarship.

Ed worked for GTE/Verizon for 30 years. In his youth Ed was an outstanding athlete excelling in baseball, softball, basketball, golf, rugby, tennis, and bowling. He was a gifted and talented singer and musician who played several instruments – all by ear.

Ed had a tremendous sense of humor and loved to laugh with his family and friends. He was a born-again Christian who loved the Lord, and because of this, is now experiencing the joys of Heaven. Ed will be greatly missed. Services will be held privately. Online condolences can be made at haught.care.
