Edna Tice Obituary

Edna Coleman Tice, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024, in Plant City, Florida, at the age of 69. Born on November 22, 1954, in Edmore, Michigan, Edna's life was one of dedication, warmth, and an unwavering spirit of service. Edna's journey began as the daughter of the late Raymond and Janie Coleman. She grew up in a loving home alongside her siblings, where the seeds of her compassionate nature were sown. Her brother, Billy Coleman, preceded her in death, leaving a legacy of memories for the family to cherish. Edna's own family blossomed with the birth of her children. She was a devoted mother to her son, David Tice, who sadly passed before her, and is survived by her loving daughter, Traci Otis, and her son, Donnie (Nichol) Tice. Edna's joy multiplied with the arrival of her 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought a unique light into her life. Her siblings, Lila May Robbins, Charlene Castillo, and Jimmy Coleman, will remember Edna for her strength, her laughter, and the countless moments of joy they shared. Edna's presence was a beacon of love and stability within the family, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. Professionally, Edna was respected and admired for her work as a dispatcher with Specialty Foods and Tomato World. Her colleagues will recall her dedication, her sharp wit, and the care she took in ensuring everything ran smoothly. Edna's involvement in her work community was marked by her commitment to excellence and her ability to bring people together. As we reflect on Edna's life, we are reminded of the words of Helen Keller: "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Edna's love, her kindness, and her indomitable spirit have indeed become a part of us, and her legacy will continue to inspire those she has left behind. Edna Coleman Tice's life was a testament to the power of love, the importance of family, and the impact one person can have on the lives of many. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
