Dorothy Mary Dempsey

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our precious Nana. Dorothy Mary Dempsey peacefully passed on to rejoin her family in heaven Friday, February 26, 2021. She was at home with her daughter and son by her side. Many called her Aunt Dot, or Dottie and she made a home for everyone who came through her door. She loved gardening, collecting, and visiting with those she loved. She was fiercely loyal and had a wonderfully strong spirit. Dot is predeceased by her husband, Gordon, her parents, Clarence and Mattie Lou Woodard, and her two sisters, Margaret, and Doris. She is survived by her children, Wanda and Steve Kirton and Terry Dempsey, two younger sisters, Ruby (Pat) Fultz and Nell Turner and countless grandbabies.
The family is so very grateful to Lifepath Hospice for all the amazing care they provided to Nana in her final days. Shelby Lewis and Maria da Silva were a godsend to the family, and we will be forever grateful to them. If you would like to donate in Dorothy's name, please mail a check or money order to:
