Donna Gale Pequignot, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in Plant City, Florida. Born on September 26, 1961, in Greenville, Ohio, Donna's life was a testament to the power of selflessness and the enduring strength of family bonds.
The daughter of the late Eugene Minnich and Alice Benson, Donna grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit family. Though she was predeceased by her brothers, Kenny and Bill Minnich, her spirit of love and unity never wavered. Donna's legacy continues through her devoted husband of twenty-four years, Marc Pequignot, and her cherished children, Benson (Kristin) Maiden, Cole (Kristina) Pequignot, Leslie Pequignot, and Dillon (Jena) Lett. Her sister, Shirley Garrett, and her six adored grandchildren also survive her, each carrying a piece of her heart with them.
Donna's professional life was marked by her tenure as a manager at a restaurant, where she not only led her team with grace but also became a beloved figure among the patrons and her colleagues. Her leadership was characterized by her innate ability to make everyone feel at home, a quality that extended well into her personal life.
A devout member of St. Clement Catholic Church, Donna's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. She lived her beliefs through her actions, always putting others before herself and nurturing the bonds within her community. Her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds, and she earned, loved and cherished the title of Nana, a role she embraced with every fiber of her being.
Donna's zest for life was evident in her hobbies and the joy she found in the simplest of pleasures. She loved to walk, taking in the beauty of nature and the companionship of friends and family. Her home was often the hub of laughter and celebration, as she relished hosting parties and creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Those who knew Donna would describe her as loving, kind, and selfless. These words, while accurate, only scratch the surface of a woman whose presence was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unwavering support, her gentle guidance, and her infectious smile will be deeply missed by many.
As we bid farewell to Donna Gale Pequignot, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire generations to come. Her memory will be cherished, her lessons remembered, and her spirit will forever be a guiding light for her family and all who were touched by her generous soul.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Clement Catholic Church.
