Donna Jean Burrage, a beacon of love and faithfulness, left this world on August 28, 2024, to join loved ones who preceded her in the grand journey beyond. Born in Galt, Ontario, Canada, on September 25, 1944, to Arthur Jean Racine and Jean Gilks, she grew into a woman marked by kindness and a zest for life. Her legacy came to a peaceful close in Largo, Florida, encircled with the warmth of her loving family.
Donna found her lifelong companion in Roger Burrage, whom she married, forming a partnership that thrived through the cycles of life. Together, they celebrated the birth and lives of their sons, Gregg (Gena) Burrage, Mike (Lisa) Burrage, and held dear the memory of their son Gary Burrage. Her role as a grandmother to four grandchildren and a great-grandchild was played with joy and a boundless love that only amplified with each new addition to their family tree.
A cherished member of St. Clement Catholic Church, Donna was steadfast in her devotion. She lived a life rich with faith, which guided her in all her endeavors and illuminated the path for those around her. Donna was not only cherished for her unwavering spirit but also for the way she embraced life with open arms. Her hobbies and crafting were not just pastimes but passages to share joy with those she held close.
Words seem to fall short when describing the loving, kind, and faith-filled soul that was Donna Jean Burrage. However, to know her was to witness these virtues in action, creating ripples of positivity that touched all corners of her community. As Albert Einstein once said, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile," Donna truly embodied this, offering herself wholeheartedly to the well-being of her family and friends.
As we bid farewell to the physical presence of Donna Jean Burrage, we find consolation in the abundant memories and enduring lessons gleaned from her journey through life. Her departure from this world is not an end, but a testament to the impact one life can have on many. She will forever live in our hearts as we continue to nurture the legacy of love and faith she so beautifully cultivated
