Diane was the cherished matriarch of a large and loving family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Leroy Demos, and her second husband, Heral Duane Van Hook. Her memory will be forever held in the hearts of her children, Sharon, Pat, Suzanne, Ron, Allan, Danielle, and Tammy, and her five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Diane was also a beloved sister to Darlene and Michael and was preceded in passing by her brothers Dennis and Ralph.
Her life was marked by her dedication to her family, her faith, and her community. Diane was a long-standing member of St. Clement Catholic Church, where she found great solace and fellowship. She approached life with a faith-filled heart, which was evident to all who knew her.
Diane's interests were a reflection of her intellect and her love for life's many puzzles. She was an avid reader, often found with a book in hand, losing herself in stories and the written word. Crossword puzzles were a daily joy, offering her a challenge that she gladly embraced. Diane was also a fan of the television show Jeopardy, where she would impress her family with her wide breadth of knowledge and quick answers.
Those who knew Diane would describe her as loving and generous. She had an extraordinary ability to make each person she met feel valued and important. Her presence was a comfort, her laughter a joy, and her advice sought after and respected. Diane's legacy is one of kindness, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her beliefs.
Diane's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved her. Yet, they take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on through the values she instilled in her family and the countless memories they shared. Diane's life was a journey of love, laughter, and faith—a journey that touched many and will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
As the sun sets on Diane's earthly chapter, her story does not end. It is carried forward in the lives of her children, her sister, her brother, and all those who were graced by her presence. Diane Elizabeth Van Hook, a woman of grace and virtue, will be deeply missed but her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her.
