Dennis Elza Rogers, a cherished father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, in his hometown of Plant City, Florida, where he was also born on January 16, 1956. He was the beloved son of the late Dennis L. Rogers and Mattaline Knight and was predeceased by his brother, Joe Maddox. Dennis's legacy continues through his loving children, Jennifer (Bob) Prong, Hollie (Tom) Voulieris, and Lisa (Brian) Guerra, as well as his adoring grandchildren, Dylan Prong and Natalie Guerra. He is also fondly remembered by his siblings, Bobby Rogers, Kathy Van Drimmelin, and Ricky Rogers, who will miss him dearly.
Dennis was a man of many talents and interests. After earning his associate's degree, he dedicated his professional life to the field of refrigeration as a skilled electrician. His work not only showcased his technical abilities but also his commitment to service and excellence. Dennis's colleagues knew him as a man who could always be relied upon, both for his expertise and his unwavering support.
Beyond his professional life, Dennis was an avid outdoorsman. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing in the serene waters of Florida, playing a round of golf on a sunny afternoon, and cooking delicious meals for his family and friends. These interests were more than hobbies; they were the ways in which Dennis connected with the world around him and shared his love and kindness with others.
Those who knew Dennis would describe him as a loving and kind individual, whose warmth and generosity knew no bounds. His gentle spirit and compassionate nature were evident in every interaction. He had the rare ability to make everyone he met feel valued and important, and his presence was a source of comfort and happiness.
As we bid farewell to Dennis Elza Rogers, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. His memory will be treasured in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Dennis's influence and the love he shared will continue to resonate within his family and the community he so dearly loved. Though he has left this earthly realm, the essence of who he was—a loving father, a devoted brother, a doting grandfather, and a true friend—will forever be etched in our memories.
