He was the son of the late Elbert Lee Edwards and Emmar Edwards. David was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Betty Joyce Edwards, whose companionship was a central part of his life. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Wayne Edwards, Maryanne Hubbard, and James Edwards. Though he experienced the loss of many loved ones, he remained a steady and caring presence to those who knew him best.
David is survived by his children, Vernon Edwards, Troy Edwards and his wife Robin, Johnny Edwards, Robert Edwards and his wife Krystal, and Shannon Lariscy and her husband Stephen. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Peggy Edwards. His legacy continues through his 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him great pride and joy.
