Danny Eugene Rogers, Sr., affectionately known as Danny to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024, in Brandon, Florida. Born on May 13, 1951, in Rome, Georgia, Danny's life was a testament to the love and dedication he had for his family and his work.
Predeceased by his mother, Katherine Works, and his beloved daughter, Joanna Rogers, Danny's legacy continues through his devoted wife of 36 years, Sheila Rogers, his sons, Mark Rogers and Danny Rogers, Jr., his five grandchildren, William, Samuel, Tyler, Danny, and Kaylee, and many great-grandchildren. Each of them was a shining light in his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Danny was a true family man, whose actions spoke volumes of his love and commitment. He was a workaholic not just in his profession but in ensuring the happiness and well-being of his family. His willingness to do anything for his loved ones was unmatched, and he instilled in his family the values of kindness, love, and friendship.
Professionally, Danny was passionate about his career as a long-haul trucker. The open road was his second home, and he took great pride in his role, knowing that he was a vital link in the chain of commerce. His love for the road was only matched by his love for playing pool, a hobby that brought him joy and relaxation.
Danny's friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure in his community and among his peers. He was the kind of person who would greet you with a warm smile and a kind word, always ready to lend a hand or an ear. His presence was a comfort to all who knew him, and his absence will be deeply felt.
As we say goodbye to Danny, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, hard work, and cherished moments. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us every day. Danny Eugene Rogers, Sr. will be profoundly missed, but the impact he made on this world will endure.
