Daniel Paul Griffin, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, in Plant City, Florida, at the age of 60. Born on January 4, 1966, in Lakeland, Florida, Daniel's life was a testament to the love and kindness he so freely gave to others.
Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Melva Rebecca Shelton. His memory will be held dear by his father, John R. Griffin, and his children, Danny, Josh (and wife Isabel), and Dylan Griffin, who were the pride and joy of his life. Daniel's legacy will also live on through his cherished grandchildren, Gabriel and Mila Griffin, who brought immense joy and laughter to his later years.
He is also survived by his devoted siblings, Arthur Griffin (and wife Maxine), Lisa Griffin Bowden (and husband Bill), Andy Griffin (and wife Melanie), and Kirk Griffin (and wife Jennifer). Each of them shared a unique bond with Daniel, filled with moments of joy, support, and an unbreakable family connection.
Daniel dedicated many years of his life to his career as a truck driver, a job that he approached with the same reliability and care that he applied to all areas of his life. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and a dependable friend who was always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.
Beyond his work, Daniel was an avid fisherman, a pastime that allowed him to enjoy the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the catch. However, his greatest passion was undoubtedly his family. He loved his boys and his grandchildren with an unwavering love, and he cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was teaching them how to cast a line or simply sharing in their everyday triumphs and challenges.
Those who knew Daniel will remember him as a loving and kind soul, a man whose gentle demeanor and generous spirit left a lasting impact on everyone he met. His laughter was infectious, his advice was sought after, and his presence was a comfort to all.
Daniel's life was a beautiful reflection of the values he held dear: love, family, and kindness. As we say goodbye to this remarkable man, we take solace in the countless memories and the enduring love he left behind. Daniel Paul Griffin will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
