Cynthia Michelle Yates

Cynthia Michelle Yates, known lovingly as Michelle, was born on November 15, 1969, in Memphis, Tennessee, and passed away peacefully on October 11, 2023, in Plant City, Florida. Michelle will be remembered for her optimistic spirit, her loving nature, and her faith-filled life.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Ronnie Yates, her children, John (Kaitlyn) Plowman, Jordan Parker, Joey (Ivy) Brown, Jessalyn Winskey, and a cherished grandson. She also leaves behind her parents, Cindy and Larry Streur and Mike Eaton, her grandparents, Pauline Utley, and siblings, Michael Eaton and Angela Streur-Lott. A long-time attendee of First Baptist of Dover, Michelle found solace and strength in her faith. She loved to dance, a testament to her free spirit and zest for life. Despite her quiet demeanor, she was opinionated and never shy to express her views. Above all, she cherished her children and grandson, their happiness her greatest joy.

In the words of Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Michelle embodied this sentiment, her love and optimism forever imprinted on the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her memory will serve as a beacon of love, faith, and unwavering optimism, forever cherished and never forgotten.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd Plant City, FL 33563.
A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM.
