Clifton Hinson Obituary

Clifton Dallas Hinson, a spirited, wise, and selfless Christian man, was born on July 22, 1934, in Pleasant Grove, Florida to the late Dallas and Margaret Ann Hinson, he passed away on April 12, 2026, in Plant City, Florida.

Clifton spent his life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He was a devoted member of Turkey Creek 1st Baptist Church and lived out his Christian beliefs through the way he treated others, with kindness, humility, and steady strength. A lifelong farmer, Clifton knew the value of long days, honest labor, and the satisfaction that comes from tending the land and caring for what has been entrusted to you. His life reflected the simple virtues he held dear, and those who knew him will remember him as a man who was dependable, generous, and deeply committed to the people he loved.

He also found joy in the quieter pleasures of life. Clifton loved to fish and play cards, and these interests brought him many happy moments with family and friends. Whether he was sharing a story, enjoying time outdoors, or sitting around a table with loved ones, he carried with him a warm presence and a good sense of humor. His wisdom was evident in the way he listened, his spirit was evident in the way he lived, and his selflessness was evident in the way he cared for others without seeking recognition.

Clifton was preceded in death by his spouse, Betty Carol Hinson, his son, Terry Hinson, and his brother, Randall Hinson. Though their absence was felt deeply, the love they shared remains a lasting part of the family's story. He is survived by his children, Gary Hinson and his wife Mary, Cindy Griffin and her husband Bobby, and Karen Lawson and her husband Greg; and his sister, Zelda Dixon and her husband Dale. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Kristie Brewington and her husband D.J.; granddaughters, Kellie Morrow and her husband Chad, and Sommer Sweeney and her husband Jeff; grandsons, Mavric Griffin, Cory Lawson and his wife Marissa, and Dustin Lawson and his wife Kelsey; and a cherished host of great-grandchildren, including Colby Brewington, Easton Morrow, Dylan Brewington, Brody Morrow, Aubrey Sweeney, Luke Lawson, and Mabry Lawson. He leaves behind many family members who will continue to honor his memory and carry forward the values he instilled in them.

Clifton's legacy is one of faith, perseverance, and devotion. He worked hard, loved deeply, and lived with a quiet strength that made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His family will remember him for his steady guidance, his thoughtful words, and the example he set through a life well lived. Though he will be greatly missed, his memory will remain a source of comfort and gratitude, and his influence will live on in the hearts of his loved ones for generations to come. Pall bearers for Mr. Hinson will be Cory Lawson, Dustin Lawson, Mavric Griffin, Colby Brewington, Easton Morrow, Dylan Brewington, Brody Morrow, Honorary Pall Bearer Luke Lawson.
