Christopher "C.J." Watson, 29, of Plant City, FL, passed away on June 25, 2021 and went home to Jesus. He was the beloved husband of his adoring wife, Jessica Watson, the son of James and Kristin Watson.
CJ loved the fact that he was born in California (Northridge to be exact) and then spent most of his life in North Attleboro, Massachusetts before then moving to Florida, where, he would say, is where the best of his life began. In Florida, he met and married the love of his life, Jessy. He was a husband who constantly encouraged and lifted up his bride. Being with Jessy made every day a great day. As she found success, he felt joy.
CJ loved the simple things in life and they made him so happy. He started his own business, Cute Kitty Cards. He enjoyed almost always having a cat; they made him smile and he always came up with the most creative names. He couldn't get enough of playing in Yu-gi-oh tournaments and he was one of the top players in the Tampa area. His newest joy was learning chess where he was striving to be a grand master. Wearing T-shirts, shorts and flip flops and going out to eat with Jessy was all it took for him to smile.
CJ will be greatly missed by his family, including his wife of 3 years, Jessica Watson, who misses him terribly; his parents, James and Kristin Watson, who miss his smile and tender spirit; his siblings Caleb Watson, with fiancé Leslie Wasendorf, and Jacob Watson; paternal grandparents, "Bamps" William and late "Mimi" Sandra Watson; maternal grandparents, "Grampy" Kenneth and "Nanny" Ruth Keen; Uncle and Aunts Lorraine Redding, Bill and Sue Watson, Phil and Annie Watson, Brad and Lyn (Watson) Olsen, David and Shari (Watson) Weaver, Ed and Cheryl (Keen) Gillen, Bob and Tracy Keen; and numerous cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-6pm, Tuesday, June 29, 2021, Haught Funeral Home, 708 W Dr MLK Jr Blvd, Plant City, with services to follow at 6pm.
