Christel Noel Koltenbah
April 6, 1955 ~ May 18, 2025 (age 70) 70 Years Old

Christel Noel Koltenbah passed away Sunday May 18, 2025 of complications due to her long battle with cancer. We take peace in knowing her family was by her side at the end. Christel survived by her husband Jim Koltenbah of 34 years, Daughter Carly Schaub (Dennis), her son Jason Anderson (Shari) and grandsons Alex and Luke Schaub.
While we could list all the places she lived or worked, organizations she belonged to; what was most important to her was her kids and especially her grandsons. She lived for every visit with her family! Christel took joy in helping Carly & Dennis at craft shows or canning items from the garden. She loved helping with and being involved in their family. Alex and Luke held a special place in Christel's heart! Together they enjoyed playing board games, especially Monopoly or Rummy, baking pumpkins pies, hanging by the pool or sitting together talking and having a laugh. Both boys could always put a smile on Christel's face and they will greatly miss her!
Jason & Shari loved coming down to Florida to sit poolside with Mom and family. They enjoyed listening to her funny stories that would have her wheezing by the end. Mom loved her family and friends fiercely. She worked to make sure all was taken care of - whether that was being the most gracious host - making sure you never went hungry or working multiple jobs to insure that her children had the best life possible - nothing would stop her from taking care of her people.
Jim and Christel enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with friends. They never were afraid to tell each other how they felt. They were partners in life and worked together to support each other in everything that was important to them. They were the perfect match for each other - a real Donald and Alice couple. There was nothing that they wouldn't do for each other. A love like that is one that will be greatly missed.
Christel leaves behind her family and many special friends. The memories, smiles and laughter she shared with her family will live on in their hearts and they will greatly miss her. A celebration of life will be held at Cornerstone Global Methodist Church, Burnside Family Life Center at 207 S. Court St. Marysville on June 22, 2025 from 2pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers you can make a contribution to either the Lupus or Cancer Research Foundations.
