Charles Hassell Obituary

Charles Kenneth Hassell, known affectionately as Ken to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, in Plant City, Florida. Born on November 1, 1943, in Orlando, Florida, Ken's life was marked by his loving nature, kindness, and friendly demeanor that touched everyone he met.

Ken dedicated many years of service to the City of Orlando, where he retired as a respected storm water code inspector. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his dedication to his family and his passion for his hobbies. Ken's love for travel took him to many beautiful places, where he relished in the joy of sightseeing and experiencing new cultures. At home, he was a craftsman with a keen eye for detail, creating stunning pieces of stained glass that reflected his artistic spirit. His innovative spirit shone through in his interest in aquaponics, where he skillfully blended his love for gardening with sustainable practices.

Ken's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his beloved wife, Linda Hassell, and his devoted son, Michael Hassell. His legacy continues through his two grandchildren, who were the light of his life, and his several nieces and nephews, who will remember him fondly. Though predeceased by his sister, Gwenn Hadden, the stories and memories shared by Ken will ensure that her spirit, along with his, will continue to inspire their family.

Ken's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. His warm smile and generous heart made him a pillar in his community and a source of comfort and joy to those around him. As we say goodbye to Ken, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

As we reflect on Ken's journey through life, we are reminded of the impact one individual can have on so many. His was a life filled with purpose, joy, and an abundance of love—a true example of a life well-lived. Ken will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
