Charles Boggs, a cherished family man and respected member of the community, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, in Mulberry, Florida. Born on December 19, 1938, in Londyn, Kentucky, Charles was the beloved son of the late David Boggs and Mary Elizabeth Lamb. His warm presence and jovial spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Charles's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his work. He spent 30 fruitful years in the construction industry, where his hard work and expertise were greatly valued. Following his successful career in construction, Charles continued to share his knowledge and skills with others during his 15 years at Ace Hardware. His colleagues will remember him as a mentor who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
A true family man at heart, Charles's greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones. He is survived by his adoring children, Beverly DeVane, Kathy (David) Hooyman, Jamie (Joyce) Boggs, and the late Mike Boggs. His legacy will live on through his nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the lessons of kindness and humor he instilled in them.
Charles's love for his family was paralleled only by his passion for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A lifelong fan, he relished every opportunity to cheer on his favorite team, celebrating their victories with the same enthusiasm he brought to every aspect of his life.
Those who knew Charles will fondly remember him as a loving, kind, and funny individual. His ability to light up a room with his humor and his generous spirit made him a beloved figure in his community. Charles's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to inspire laughter and love in the hearts of those he touched.
As we bid farewell to Charles Boggs, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family. His remarkable spirit will be cherished and remembered always.
