Cary D Swindle

Cary Daniel Swindle, 73, of Plant City, died August 9, 2026.

A lifelong native of Plant City, he was the son of Willard and Rosa Jane Swindle. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Felder; and his brothers, Gary D. Swindle and Raymond E. Swindle (“Buddy”).

Survivors include his children, Ryan Swindle and Richie McKinney, and his granddaughter, Hailey McKinney.

After leaving the Marines, Cary went on to work as an insulator for the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators Local 67, a trade he stayed with until his retirement.

In his spare time he found great joy in the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life—fishing, searching for arrowheads, and attending wrestling matches with family and friends. These hobbies reflected the steady, down-to-earth spirit that defined him. Above all, he was a man deeply loved by his family and friends. Their lives were enriched by his presence, and he will never be forgotten.
