Her late husband, Rufino Garcia, was her companion and partner in life, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love. Carolyn was a devoted mother to her six children, David (Donia) Garcia, Regina Simpson, Dane Garcia, Rechelle Garcia, Requel (Ruben) Martinez, and the late Rebecca Edwards. She was a cherished grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to two.

Carolyn was a woman of many talents and interests. As an active member of St. Clement Catholic Church, she was deeply rooted in her faith and found joy in serving her community. Carolyn had a passion for sewing, often creating beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She also loved to solve puzzles and lose herself in a good book.
