Carol Fay Chason

Carol Courtney Chason, 86, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. She was born on October 2, 1939, in De Soto, Missouri. Carol was a loving wife, mom, sister, grandma, and great-grandma who always showed up for the people she loved. She had a warm heart and a way of making everyone feel cared for. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nellie Courtney; her husband, Henry Walker Chason; her son, Robert Chason; and her siblings Hugh, William, David, Frank, Elizabeth Allen, Helen Spear, and infant Nellie Courtney. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Cotnoir (Armand) and Cathy Jordan; her sister, Diane Tindall; her grandchildren, Brady Chason (Kaci), Kayla Jordan, Cory, Cameron, Carley, and Callen Cotnoir; and her great-grandchildren, Bailee and Hailee Kidwell, and Alliee and Braxton Chason. Carol was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She rarely missed a game, show, or event—if her grandkids were involved, she was there cheering them on. She loved simple moments and being with the people she cared about. She leaves behind many memories and a family who loved her deeply. Though she will be missed every day, her love and the way she cared for her family will stay with them forever.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 8, 2025 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
