Carl Alfred Bergner, a faith-filled, kind, and thoughtful man, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023, in Plant City, FL. Born on April 17, 1938, Carl lived a life full of love, service, and joy, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Brenda Bergner, and his three devoted daughters, Debbie (Allen) Mathias, Karen Bryan, and Cyndi (Carl) Jones. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by his brother, Alan Bergner. Carl was predeceased by his sister, Laura Ott, and his brother, Freddie Bergner. The love and bond he shared with his family were evident in every aspect of his life, and his memory will continue to be a source of strength and comfort for them.

Carl spent his professional life as a salesman in the lumber industry. His hard work, dedication, and integrity made him a respected figure in his field. His colleagues admired him for his commitment to his work and his ability to build lasting relationships with clients and peers alike.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Carl served his country with honor and pride. His time in the Navy instilled in him a deep sense of duty and discipline, which he carried into his civilian life. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, where he was known for his commitment to the principles of brotherhood, charity, and truth.

Carl was a man of deep faith, a devoted member of the Hope Lutheran Church of Plant City. His faith was a guiding light in his life, providing him with strength and comfort in times of difficulty and joy in times of celebration. He was known for his kindness and thoughtfulness, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

In his leisure time, Carl enjoyed bowling, fishing, and dancing. His love for these activities was infectious, and he often shared these passions with his family and friends. His laughter and joy were a constant source of happiness for those around him, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Friends and family will be received Friday, November 17, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Hope Lutheran Church, 2001 N. Park Road, Plant City, Florida 33563.
A funeral service will follow at 6:30 PM.
