Born on January 6, 1936, in Marshalville, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Celester Blue and Birder McNeal. Birder Mae's journey through life was marked by her unwavering faith, her commitment to her family, and her generous heart.

Birder Mae was the beloved wife of the late Columbus Wright, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring marriage of 64 years. Their love story was one of mutual respect and deep affection, setting a profound example for their children. She was a nurturing mother, guiding her family with a gentle hand and a strong moral compass. Her daughter, Christina Shonte Wright, preceded her in death, leaving a legacy of cherished memories.

She is survived by her loving children, Camellia & Wayne Taylor Sr., Doris A. Wright, Cellia, Pandora G. Wright, and Patricia A. Fort. Her siblings, Polly (Ben) Martin and John (Artisha) Blue, will remember her as a wise and caring sister. Birder Mae's spirit will continue to inspire her family, as she was a cornerstone of their lives, imparting lessons of resilience and kindness.

A graduate of high school, Birder Mae was a woman of many talents. She dedicated her professional life to housekeeping, where she took pride in creating warm and welcoming environments for those she served. Her work ethic and attention to detail were unmatched, and she was respected by all who knew her.

Birder Mae was a steadfast homemaker whose hands were never idle. She was a treasured member of the St. Mary Mission Baptist Church in Plant City, Florida. Her service to the Lord was evident in her actions and her commitment to her church community. She served with a joyful spirit, touching the lives of many through her involvement and unwavering faith.

Her interests were a reflection of her love for creating and nurturing. Birder Mae found great pleasure in sewing, a skill she used to both express her creativity and provide for her family.
