Barbara Parrish Obituary

Barbara Rebman Parrish, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, in Plant City, Florida, at the age of 78. Born on August 18, 1946, in Grove, Oklahoma, she was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who brought joy and warmth to all who knew her.

Barbara's early years in Grove were filled with the love and guidance of her parents, the late Richard Ford Rebman and Rose Marie Barnett. She was a cherished sibling to Edward Rebman, and the late Mary and Larry Rebman. Her life was a testament to the strong family bonds she nurtured and the values she held dear.

The love story of Barbara and her late husband, William Grady Parrish, was one of true partnership and mutual respect. Together, they built a life full of shared passions and unwavering support for each other. Their legacy continues through their daughters, Christina (Kevin) Iannorone and Rachel Parrish, and the two grandchildren who were Barbara's pride and joy.

Barbara was a woman of many talents and an entrepreneur at heart. She owned and operated Parrish Embroidery, a business that not only served the community but also became a part of local tradition by proudly making the sashes for the Strawberry Festival Queens and Court. Her work reflected her meticulous nature and her commitment to excellence.

A devout member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church, Barbara's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She lived her beliefs through her actions, always extending a hand of friendship and embodying the love she professed. Her faith-filled presence will be deeply missed by her church family and all who were touched by her spirit.

Barbara's interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. She found joy in sewing and crafting, creating beautiful pieces that were both practical and artistic. Her garden was a place of tranquility and beauty, reflecting her love for nurturing life in all its forms. The beach was her haven, a place where she could revel in the serenity of nature and the company of her loved ones.

Those who knew Barbara will remember her as a loving, friendly, and faith-filled woman. As we bid her farewell, we celebrate the enduring impact of her presence. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, just as the stars continue to shine long after they have set on the horizon. Barbara will be deeply missed, but her light will never fade from the hearts of those who loved her.
