Annie Faye Shepard, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, in Plant City, Florida. Born on December 7, 1934, in Tifton, Georgia, Annie's life was a tapestry of warmth and devotion, woven with the threads of her unwavering care for her family and friends.
The daughter of the late John Thomas Howell and Ila Mae Parrish, Annie grew up in a home filled with Southern charm and hospitality. Her early years in Georgia shaped the graciousness that would become her hallmark. Annie's life was further enriched by her marriage to the late Thomas Shepard, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories until his passing.
Annie was the loving mother of Tony Salisbury and his wife Marilyn, and Edward Salisbury and his wife Dawn. She was a source of endless support and wisdom for her sons, instilling in them the values of compassion and integrity. Though she was predeceased by her son, Thomas Salisbury, his memory remained a treasured part of her life.
Her siblings, John, Charles, Fred, and Donald Howell, predeceased her, leaving Annie as a cherished sister to Joyce Hooke and her husband Captain and her brother Jerry (Linda) Howell. The bond she shared with Joyce and Jerry was a testament to the enduring nature of sibling love.
Annie's legacy is also celebrated by her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her gentle guidance and unconditional love have left an indelible mark on their hearts, and her stories and laughter will echo through generations.
Those who knew Annie will remember her for the love she so freely gave and the kindness that seemed to radiate from her very being. She was a woman of great strength and tenderness, a friend to all, and a stranger to none. Her presence was a comfort, her advice sought after, and her home always open to those in need of a listening ear or a warm meal.
As we bid farewell to Annie Faye Shepard, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. Her spirit, a blend of resilience and gentleness, will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Annie's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories passed down and the countless lives she touched with her loving heart.
Annie Faye Shepard will be deeply missed, but her light will never fade.
