Angelita Salmeron Medrano, a beacon of love and gentleness, passed away on August 21, 2024, in Brandon, Florida, at the age of 76. Born on January 6, 1948, in Tlalchapa, Guerrero, Mexico, Angelita's life was a testament to the enduring strength of familial bonds and the grace of a life well-lived.
Angelita, the cherished daughter of the late Gregorio Salmeron and Maria Flix Medrano, grew up surrounded by the warmth of her family. Her siblings, Maria Salmeron, Reyna Salmeron, Simon Salmeron, and Cayetana Salmeron, shared in the joys and challenges of their upbringing, forging an unbreakable connection that would last a lifetime.
In her years of growth and discovery, Angelita's heart found its match in Ovidio Nolasco Morales, with whom she built a life filled with love and purpose. Together, they nurtured a family that expanded to include their beloved children: Nazareo Nolasco Salmeron, Irma Nolasco, Eliselda Nolasco, Maria Nolasco, and Robertina Nolasco. Angelita's legacy continued to flourish as she embraced the roles of grandmother to 28 grandchildren, great-grandmother to 29 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandmother to one cherished great-great-grandchild.
Angelita's faith was a cornerstone of her existence, and she was a devoted member of Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon since 2000. Her gentle spirit and loving nature were evident to all who knew her, and she was often seen as a source of comfort and wisdom within her community.
As we bid farewell to Angelita Salmeron Medrano, we remember a woman whose presence was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her gentle touch, loving embrace, and the soft-spoken words will remain in our hearts forever.
Angelita's journey through life was marked by the love she gave and the love she received. Though she has left our physical world, her spirit continues to inspire us to live with kindness, to cherish our loved ones, and to make the world a better place through our own acts of great love. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched, guiding us through the days ahead with the same love and gentleness that she so freely gave.
