Alice Fay Sullivan

Alice Fay Sullivan, born on December 30, 1966, in Florence, Alabama, passed away on June 19, 2026, in Plant City, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that touched everyone who knew her.

She was the daughter of the late Burford Staggs and Cora Lee Taylor, and she carried the values of family, loyalty, and compassion throughout her life. Alice was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her. She was preceded in death by her siblings Connie, Bonnie, Danny, Judy, and Ronnie, whom she loved dearly and remembered always in her heart.

Alice is survived by her children, Curtis Grooms and his wife Jessica, Michael Grooms, and Nikki Kelly and her husband Josh, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy in her life. She also leaves behind her brothers Donnie Staggs, Denis Staggs, and Mac Staggs, along with her ten cherished grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness and gave her life even more meaning. To her family, she was not only a beloved mother and grandmother, but also a steady source of encouragement, comfort, and unconditional love.

Those who knew Alice will remember that she loved to dance and sing, and she carried a spirit that could brighten any room. She was a very charitable person, always willing to help others and give from the heart without expecting anything in return. Her kindness was evident in the way she treated people, and her loving nature made her a mother and nana to everyone she met. She had a gift for making others feel welcome, valued, and cared for, and that gift will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.

Alice also enjoyed the simple things that brought her comfort and joy, including Mountain Dews and 305s, which were among her favorite things. Blue was her favorite color, and it reflected the calm, gentle, and beautiful spirit she shared with the world. Her life was a reflection of devotion to family, a generous heart, and a deep love for the people around her.

She will be remembered as a woman who lived with grace, strength, and compassion. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her laughter, her singing, her dancing, and the many ways she showed love each day. Alice Fay Sullivan's life was one of kindness and care, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

The family is requesting everyone please wear blue, as it was her favorite color.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, July 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd Plant City, FL 33563.
