Alice June Davis Cowart, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at the age of 73, in Plant City, Florida. Born on July 7, 1951, in Tampa, Florida, Alice's life was a testament to the power of warmth and generosity that she extended to everyone she met.
Alice was predeceased by her loving parents, George William Davis and Gladys Davis Morris. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her devoted children, Tammi (Danny) Bynum, Jodi Lawton (Josh) and Paul Wilson. She was a beloved sister to Elaine Hunstein, Debi Johnson, Steven Davis, David Morris and Lois Summerall. Alice's joy was multiplied through her four grandchildren, Arty Heistand, Kassandra Christian, Kyle Wilson and Stormy Wilson and nine great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life and her legacy of love.
For many years, Alice poured her heart into her work as the main cook at the Country Corner Cafe, where her culinary skills were only outshined by her ability to make every customer feel like family. Her colleagues and patrons will remember her not just for the meals she prepared, but for the warmth and care she served them with.
A faithful member of the Dover Pentecostal Holiness Church, Alice's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. Her involvement in church activities and her unwavering belief were sources of strength and inspiration for her family and friends.
She had this incredible ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the room. Her laugh was contagious, and her generosity was boundless. Even though she's gone, that spirit of hers will live on.
