Albert Timmons Epps Jr., a cherished soul known for his generous spirit, loving heart, and selfless nature, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024, in his hometown of Tampa, Florida. Born on May 5, 1960, also in Tampa, Albert's life was a testament to the joy and love he brought to everyone around him. Albert's journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his country, and his passions. He proudly served in the Army, a commitment that reflected his deep sense of duty and patriotism. After his military service, Albert pursued his love for speed and excitement as a race car driver, a hobby that thrilled him and entertained all who knew him. His interests were as diverse as his talents. A lover of science fiction, Albert could often be found engrossed in tales of distant galaxies and futuristic adventures. His culinary skills were unmatched, and his family and friends frequently enjoyed his delicious creations. Karaoke nights were a particular joy for Albert, where his vivacious personality shone as brightly as his singing voice. Albert's legacy is carried on by his beloved children, John Bartley, Jennifer Bartley, and Dana Bartley, who were the pride and joy of his life. His memory will also be cherished by his siblings, John Epps, Gene Epps, Kenneth Epps, and Christy Epps, as well as his five adoring grandchildren, who will miss their grandfather's warmth and guidance. In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children... to leave the world a bit better... to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." Albert embodied this sentiment every day of his life, and his success is evident in the love and respect he earned from all who knew him. Albert Timmons Epps Jr.'s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and selflessness. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to his family and friends.
