He was the son of the late Alvin and Antoinette Childers Smith; he is also preceded in death by siblings; William Dennis Smith and Karen Morris.
Survivors include niece; Andrea Brock and nephew; Robert Kyle Morris III.
Alan was a United States Marine Corps Veteran.
