Sylvia, I don't even know what to say. I just started to really get to know you a little over a year ago. You are a wonderful woman with an extremely huge heart! I'm so glad you got to meet Riley. It meant everything to me and I know you loved it as well by the look on your face. I will never forget you. :) you no longer have to hurt. Rest easy.

Sylvia had a ready smile and a great sense of humor. Although we never worked together, we saw each other often at the Sheriff's Operations Center and had many interesting conversations. She is missed.

I am truly saddened by your loss. You have been such a fighter and an inspiration to others who have fought the same battle. I will remember out trip to NYC and Cedar Key fondly, and looking at the butterflies in Gainesville. You were a great role model and mentor for those of us at the Sheriffs Office. You will be missed

When I was employed at the HCSO, She was professional yet friendly. She was always kind to me and I will remember her big gentle smile. May she rest in peace.

I knew Sylvia since she first came to HCSO with her long blonde ponytail. She was a friend from the very beginning and throughout our careers we worked closely, especially in the Comm Center. Those were such fun times and we went on a lot of "excursions" so to speak. We had some good times together. She was the bravest woman I have ever known, and no matter what life threw at her, she always had her chin up and took it head on with a smile on her face.....and usually came out on the winning side. I will always cherish the times we had and remember all of the fun we had together, even the quiet conversations. Rest in peace Sylvia, if anyone deserves it, YOU do! Love and miss you girlfriend.

We will miss you so much Aunt Sylvia. There was never a more stronger person in our life. You tried to live life to the fullest and never gave up. We wish we could be half the person you have been....loving, caring and a best friend to so many. You will always be in our hearts and prayers. There is not a day that will go by that we will not be reminded that we got to share our life with the bravest, sweetest, caring woman of all and what a blessing God gave us for that.....Love you always and forever.....

Dianne and I will miss Sylvia. I always enjoyed talking to her on the phone. She was an exceptional person. Save me a seat Sylvia! We didn't make it to Vegas this time around.
