Ruby Lee Lindsey, 91 of Plant City passed away September 22, 2019.
Born in Berrien County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Chesley and Lilly Hodges Richardson. She was the wife of the late Benjamin Lindsey for over 50 years.
She is also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Her survivors include sons, Stephen Lindsey (Suzanne), Michael Lindsey (Joni), Timothy Lindsey (Gina); 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Ruby lived in Plant City since 1945. She was also a long-distance operator for the Southern Bell Telephone during WWII. Ruby worked as a sectionizer in Plant City for J. William Horsey Co. for many years. Ruby was retired from the Hillsborough County School Board. Ruby was a charter member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Tampa, and she was a member of the FFWB Ladies. She was a life member of Plant City Eastern Star Chapter #81.
The family will receive friends from 4-5pm, Friday, September 27, 2019, First Freewill Baptist Church, 11605 E. US Hwy 92, Seffner, 33584, with service to follow at 5pm.
