Lucile W. McRae, 89, of Plant City, passed away on May 11, 2019.
A faithful member of St. Clement Catholic Church throughout her life, Lucile took great comfort and joy from her spiritual life and her church family. A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Lucile devoted her life to raising her children, each of whom will forever hold dear the memories of the simple pleasures she brought to their lives. Though she was an accomplished homemaker most of her life, Lucile did also enjoy a brief period when she worked alongside her husband as groundskeepers for a number of apartment complexes. A bright light in what is sometimes a dark world, Lucile's memory will shine on forever in the hearts of her family and all those who knew her well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucille Buell, her husband of 57 years, William W. McRae, her sons Stevie and Danny McRae, her daughters Donna Gail and Laura Ellen McRae, her grandson, Jeremy McRae, her brother William Buell, Jr., and her sisters Frances (Bob) Crosby and Grace (Tom) Mullen.
She is survived by her children, David McRae, Karen (Wendell) Wells, Mary Ann Greer, Joey (Robin) McRae, Tony (Kris) McRae, and Andrea (Lance) Knorr, and by her sister Marion (Bob) Greer, nineteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation and a Rosary will be held at Haught Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday May 15, 2019 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement Catholic Church at 11:00am Thursday May 16th, and internment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
