John Millin Obituary
John Joseph Millin, age 88, of Plant City, Florida passed away on June 20, 2018.
Born in Richmond Hill, New York, he grew up in South Ozone Park, New York, the son of the late Samuel and Rena Santagata Millin.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Mignon McCurdy Millin; daughter, Patricia Millin; son, Dr. Michael Millin; siblings, Robert Millin and Anne Schrage; grandchildren, Sarah, Katherine, and Meredith; and great grandchildren, Serenity, Nicholas, Mignon and Rylynn.
He was predeceased by his son, John, Jr. and two brothers, Samuel Millin, and Thomas Millin.
John served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and Army of Occupational of Germany. John graduated from Kirksville State Teachers College and taught high school science for a year. After graduating from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1958 he practiced medicine for nearly forty years. The last years of his practice were spent in the Army again and then with the VA; earning the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday July 23, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Clement Catholic Church, Plant City.
