Joan Gomez Nelson, age 56, of Thonotosassa, FL passed away on May 6, 2019.
A native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Gary and Rebecca Gomez.
Survivors include her husband James Nelson, Children Gary Gomez, Rebecca Pease, James Nelson, Leann Nelson, Siblings Cindy McGranahan, Delores Bell, Gary Gomez and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Eddie Gomez.
Joan was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed motorcycles, airboats, mudding, crocheting and cherished her children and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 13, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W Dr MLK Jr Blvd, Plant City, FL 33563. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM.
