On Thursday, June 13th, 2019, James (Jim) Fish, loving father of one daughter,
grandfather of one girl, and brother to one sister and brother, passed away at the age
of 57.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Jack and Lawrie Fish.
Jim was a decorated Veteran of the United States Army as a Deep Sea Diver. He wasp
awarded 2 medals during his service. One for Good Conduct and also
The Meritorious Service Medal.
He lived his life serving those around him and believed heavily in spirituality with a
Buddhist mentality. He wore his heart on his sleeve and showed love and
compassion to everyone he met.
With his competitive spirit, Jim competed in many body-building competitions, were
he was awarded trophies for every competition he competed in.
Jim was a personal trainer at Powershop Fitness, in Plant City, Florida where he
loved to coach and mentor those around him. He loved to pass on his wisdom of AOC
with a PMA (Adapt, Overcome and Conquer, with a Positive Mental Attitude).
Jim was the light of any room and spread joy wherever he went. He was always
telling stories about his life and experiences. Leaving in his wake a lifetime of good
memories.
Survivors include daughter, Taryn Nahm. Siblings, Pat Bender and Jack Fish, and
granddaughter Kaylee Nahm.
The family will receive friends, July 6, 2019 from 11:00 am to12:00 pm at Haught
Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 12 pm.
